National Institute Of Design (NID)

NID is internationally acclaimed as one of the foremost multi-disciplinary institutions in the field of design education and research. The institute functions as an autonomous body under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India.

All candidates are required to attend the design aptitude tests. Shortlisted candidates will be asked to attend a studio test and interview. NID Entrance Test (DAT) is conducted at Ahmedabad, Bangluru, Bhopal, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai & Nagpur.

Issuing of Forms starts from                                   October 13th, 2011

Undergraduate Programs             100 seats  

Upper age limit for candidates is 20 yrs ( Relaxable by 3 yrs for reserved categories) as on June 01, 2012. Application fee of Rs. 1500/- by Demand Draft drawn in favour of National Institute of Design payable at Ahmedabad is required. Discipline allotment done only at the end of first year (Foundation Program), based on purely on student’s performance in the foundation programme and number of seats available in desired discipline.

Upper age limit for candidates is 30 yrs (relaxable by 3 yrs for reserved categories) as on 1.6.2012. Those applying for two programs should send separate application form for each programme. One cannot apply for more than two PG Programs.
