NIFT was set up at New Delhi in 1986 under the aegis of Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. It has emerged as the premier Institute of Design, Management and Technology, developing professionals for taking up leadership positions in fashion business in the emerging global scenario.

Every year 1 out of 5 students who are admitted to NIFT courses are AFDians.

AFD's preparation for Fashion Design, Fashion Marketing & Management examination includes aptitute test, help in selection of course & filling application forms, admission guidence, mock tests. The training covers all aspects of the admission test including creative ability test CAT, general ability test GAT, situation test, interview, group discussion. Sample test papers & past question papers are solved in class.

Prospectus along with application form can be obtained from the selected branches of Axis Bank& IDBI Bank on payment of Rs.250/- (List of AXIS Bank Branches & IDBI Bank ) or by post enclosing a DD of Rs.350/- in favour of NIFT, New Delhi from all NIFT Centres. You can also apply online. You must have the Demand Draft ready before filling up the online NIFT 2012 application form.

• For General/OBC Category a Demand Draft for Rs.1000/- drawn in favour of 'National Institute of Fashion Technology' payable at New Delhi, alongwith the NIFT Application Form filled-in manually. Candidates applying online are required to submit a Demand Draft for Rs.1,250/- alongwith the print-out of the filled-in online NIFT application Form.

• Candidates belonging to SC/ST or Person with Disabilities Category are required to submit a Demand Draft for Rs.500/-. All those applying online are required to submit a Demand Draft for Rs.750/- Reservation of Seats

• If You are applying under Foreign Nationals/SAARC/NRI category, you are required to obtain a Demand Draft for US $100/-

Affix your passport size photograph in the space provided and attach the demand draft of requisite amount with the application. On the back of Demand Draft please write: your name, auto generated application form number, & program applied. Send the above set of documents to:

• Application can be submitted by a candidate only once and against only one of the Programmes which means candidate has only ONE choice of selection of ONE of the Programmes offered.

• The upper age limit for applying in bachelor programs is 23 years as on 1st November, 2012

• The objective type tests are subject to negative marking. The negative marking will apply at the rate of 0.25 for each wrong answer.

• Candidates appearing for their qualifying examinations can also apply. Their admission, will be provisional and subject to obtaining the defined eligibility by 30th September, 2012.
